 ABOUT US

FAMILY-OWNED & OPERATED

Kps Sons Carpentry LLC is owned and operated by brothers Ken and Chris Sosnicki and was established in 2004. After working for our fathers company for over 10 years, Kps & Sons Construction, we decided to start our own Home Improvement Company. We wanted to bring our experience and knowledge of fine home building, to start a home improvement company dedicated to providing professional services and high quality results. While working for our fathers company, from start to finish, we were involved in all aspects in the supervision and building of complete custom homes and helped establish his business as one of the areas best. Although we formed a separate company, we still work closely with our father on many projects.

Additionally, our father, Ken Sosnicki, is an authorized dealer for RichMaid Kabinetry and has over 30 years of experience in home construction and specializes in professional kitchen and bathroom designs. Together, our companies can offer complete construction services for any type and size project. Both our companies are fully insured and licensed in our respective fields. References are available upon request.

When you hire our company, you can expect professional service. By providing free in-home consultations, educating our customers about the construction process and giving a honest cost analysis of the proposed project, we can provide our customers with an accurate estimate while working within their budget. We do not give low bids and then surprise our customers with inflated extra fees during the project. By working closely with the customer throughout the length of the project, they can have better control of their budget and allow them to make informed decisions on how their money is spent.

Our years of experience and working with various products allows us to provide the customer with the proper knowledge to choose the best products for their home and budget.
We only use high quality products in our projects. New products are constantly being introduced to the market and we try to get the most up-to-date product information available. By attending seminars, expos, researching new products or meeting with local salesman, we are always trying to provide our customers with the newest and best choices available today. We would never supply a product to any of our customers that we would not use in one of our own homes.

As an on-site company, we are involved in every aspect of the project and supervise all of our sub-contractors work. Any questions or concerns from our customers are always answered by us, the owners of the company. Our job-sites are cleaned and organized at the end of each work day, to help provide a safe working environment.
All of the sub-contractors we use, have been chosen based upon their reliablity, professionalism, knowledge and quality of work. We have high standards for all persons working in and around our customers homes. We do not tolerate the use of any drugs or alcohol anywhere, at anytime around our job-sites, a common problem in our industry and is strictly prohibited by us. If any sub-contractor or its employees is found to be under the influence on our job-site, they will be removed immediately. Our sub-contractors respect our standards and understand the importance of providing our customers with a high quality finished product. It is just one of the ways we can provide our customers with the satisfaction and peace of mind of knowing that their home will be work on by trusted individuals.

In today's world, being energy efficient and environmentally responsible should not only be a goal for all businesses, but for all homeowners as well. We believe in using as many Energy Star rated, recycled and environmentally friendly products as we can in our projects. We use eco-friendly practices whenever we can. Any recyclable garbage that is removed from our job-sites will be recycled. We reduce waste generated through-out construction by ordering the proper amounts of materials needed and returning any extra, not discarding it. We also correctly dispose of all debris. These are just some of the various ways we try to be an eco-friendly company and will continue to improve on in the future.
Most importantly, we provide proper installations of energy-efficient products in all areas of the home, a critical component for proper performance. We plan to expand our knowledge of eco-friendly construction as it becomes available through education and will be regularly attending classes and seminars learning about the newest installation techniques, guidelines and products in the market today.

We are certified by the U.S Enviromental Protection Agency as a Lead-Safe Contracting Firm and as Certified Renovators under the Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rules. Common renovation activities like sanding, cutting, and demolition can create hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead based paint, which can be harmful to adults and children.

To protect against this risk, on April 22, 2008, EPA issued a rule requiring the use of lead-safe practices and other actions aimed at preventing lead poisoning. Under the rule, beginning April 22, 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

EPA requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes, child care facilities and schools be certified by EPA and that they use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers to follow lead-safe work practices.

One of the reasons we have become a Certified Pella Contractor is for their commitment to manufacturing energy-efficient products and educating consumers about them. Additionally in 2010, Pella was honored with the Sustained Excellence award in recognition of four consecutive years as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year (more info).
